The Anne Arundel County Veterans Affairs Commission (VAC) (VAC Web Site) serves as a forum for all Anne Arundel County veterans of military service. As a leader among Anne Arundel County's veterans with frequent contact with former service members, you are no doubt well aware of the national sucide crisis among veterans. You may even be aware of a veteran who’s having trouble adjusting to life after leaving military service. You may even know a veteran in crisis and be unaware that they are in need of help. VAC wants to bring to your attention this opportunity to assist fellow veterans. Please carefully read the attached flyer and decide if your Post is ready to step-up and take action by registering for Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST). Register today at www.restorelifeglobal.com or contact: Porsche Williams, 202-969-0978, Porsche@restorelifeglobal.com. American Legion Post #141 will provide coffee and lunch.

The Fleet Reserve Association is the oldest and largest association representing enlisted Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard personnel. Established in 1924, FRA's mission is to safeguard the pay, benefits, and entitlements of the active duty, reserve, and retired members of the Sea Services.
Membership in the FRA is open to all enlisted personnel of the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard. Commissioned Officers of the Sea Services that have at least one day of prior enlisted service are eligible to join too.
Fleet Reserve Association (FRA) Annapolis Branch 24 is home of Auxiliary (LAFRA) Annapolis Unit 24 and Fleet Reserve Club (FRC). The FRC also welcomes other Active Duty, Reserve, Retired, honorably discharged Veterans of the United States Armed Forces as FRC Associate Members.
Member benefits include parking while on the club premises, use of the waterfront club facilities (dining room, bar, meeting rooms, banquet facilities), and reciprocal membership with other Fleet Reserve Clubs for members who meet FRA eligibility requirements.
Let your voice be heard by being a part of one of the longest and influential Associations advocating for your benefits. We strive to protect your retirement and work on current issues affecting military personnel and their families.
