We need volunteers for the City of Annapolis Veterans Day ceremony on Monday, November 11, 2024. This special event will take place in downtown Annapolis near Memorial Circle, and your support is crucial to its success.
Volunteers Needed:
We are looking for members to assist with the following tasks:
- Setting up chairs for the Welcoming Party
- Transporting the Bell and podium
- Helping with the transport of these items back to the Fleet Reserve Club after the ceremony
In addition to set up, we welcome members to join in the parade around the circle behind the Branch 24 Color Guard. All participants must wear FRA attire and their FRA covers.
Details:
- Date: November 11, 2024
- Report Time: 8:00 AM at the Fleet Reserve Club
- Dress Code for Honor Guard: FRA Hat, navy blazer, gray pants, white shirt, and tie.
We will also need shipmates to serve as honor guard flag bearers and marchers in the parade. If inclement weather occurs, the ceremony will be moved indoors to the Fleet Reserve Club.
As a token of appreciation for your hard work, a complimentary lunch will be served at the Fleet Reserve Club following the ceremonies.
If you are able to volunteer for this meaningful event, please send an email to Shipmate Kim Biggs at kbiggs75@hotmail.com.
Thank you for your support, and we hope to see many of you there!

The Fleet Reserve Association is the oldest and largest association representing enlisted Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard personnel. Established in 1924, FRA's mission is to safeguard the pay, benefits, and entitlements of the active duty, reserve, and retired members of the Sea Services.
Membership in the FRA is open to all enlisted personnel of the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard. Commissioned Officers of the Sea Services that have at least one day of prior enlisted service are eligible to join too.
Fleet Reserve Association (FRA) Annapolis Branch 24 is home of Auxiliary (LAFRA) Annapolis Unit 24 and Fleet Reserve Club (FRC). The FRC also welcomes other Active Duty, Reserve, Retired, honorably discharged Veterans of the United States Armed Forces as FRC Associate Members.
Member benefits include parking while on the club premises, use of the waterfront club facilities (dining room, bar, meeting rooms, banquet facilities), and reciprocal membership with other Fleet Reserve Clubs for members who meet FRA eligibility requirements.
Let your voice be heard by being a part of one of the longest and influential Associations advocating for your benefits. We strive to protect your retirement and work on current issues affecting military personnel and their families.
